Zollhaus in Chur, Switzerland
If you ever happen to get to Chur, the town I grew up and in and went to Gymansium (Highschool) don't miss out on the Restaurant Zollhaus. It is located in a historic building right at the edge of Chur's old town across the Plessur river.
There are three restaurants in the building - at ground level there is a Pizza place, in the back there is a Chinese restaurant, and up the stairs is the historic Speiserestaurant Zollhaus. That's the place you really want to go to!
As ususal in Switzerland, you might just take any table, though it is always good to check with the waiter first before sitting down. The interior has booths and rustic chairs and tables, the walls show the beams and construction of the building, and the lighting is not too bright.

Now the real reason to come here besides the nice building and environment (athmosphere ;-) is the kitchen and the local specialties offered. I liked it that much that on my last visit I had to stop by there twice!
On my first visit I had one of the Bündner favorites: Capuns. It is small pieces of dough balls with dried sausage (Landjäger), onions, spices, etc. wrapped in Swiss chard, boiled in water then baked in the oven covered with some cheese (another serving option would be to fry some onions in butter until they are brown and pour it over the Capuns, at least that's the way my friend Peter does it). It just tastes great with a beer (Calanda, the local lager).

The next day I came back with my father and had the chopped veal liver with hash browns - a Swiss dish, with the liver cooked to perfection! Since we wanted something sweet we took a look at the dessert menu, which featured drawings from the Swiss artist Alois Carigiet, take a look, it is a picture in a frame!

My choice ended up being the Alois Carigiet, you don't want to miss that:
